Challenge Air

C/Tsgt Emma Bray - May 31, 2016

On May 15th, members of the Thunderbolt Composite Squadron had the opportunity to participate in Challenge Air at the McKinney Airport. Challenge Air is a program that gives disabled children the unique opportunity to fly in an airplane. The cadets and senior members were assigned jobs in which they worked incredibly hard on. Some examples of the jobs completed were: escort, traffic assistance, ramp safety, tech support and flight line marshalling. Everyone did a great job and the kids who came really loved it. C/TSgt LaMaison stated, “It was a great experience for me and my team and, I hope we do this more than once a year.” The Challenge Air program provided the squadron with a great learning experience and an amazing opportunity to exercise our 3rd core value, volunteer service, by helping out in the community.
